The Hi-po Spec X-CHARGER uses a unique Cold Air Intake system with integral 84mm Mass Air housing, conical K&N airfilter and 3.5" ID rubber inlet hose.

THE INCREDIBLE EATON/MAGNUSON MP90 4TH GEN SUPERCHARGER
The Eaton supercharger head unit has been chosen as original equipment by many of the worlds major car manufactures. The reasons: superior output at lower RPMs, compact packaging, quiet operation and outstanding reliability. This Eaton supercharger was originally designed by Jerry Magnuson as the Magnacharger supercharger. Eaton Corporation bought his design and invested millions into further development and advanced machining processes. Eaton granted Magnuson Products the sole North American right to produce aftermarket Eaton superchargers. EXHILARATING ACCELERATION
Carroll Shelby said "Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races". The X-CHARGER's torque makes street driving so much fun. No lag, no need to build RPMs for the power to come on. The throttle response is linear much like the stock engine, but with grin inducing power. Not to mention tire smoking burnouts and consistent, quick ETs at the track.

STOCK FUEL ECONOMY
Its hard to keep your foot out of the throttle because the X-CHARGERs power and response makes every drive a fun one. But if you can restrain yourself to your normal, pre X-C, driving style, the low power consumption at part throttle with the By-pass Valve open can yield the same fuel mileage as stock. Very low parasitic loses because the X-CHARGER uses less than 1/3 horsepower when off boost.

CUSTOM SERIALIZED DASH PLAQUE
The X-CHARGER equipped Mustang is so tractable that your passenger may not be aware of what youve got under the hood (until you stand on it). Every kit comes with a custom laser cut and etched Dash Plaque bearing the unique serial number of your X-CHARGER.

X-CHARGER TORQUE SHELF
The Eaton based X-CHARGER produces boost at much lower RPMs than other types of blowers. That makes power and acceleration available on demand in almost every situation. This quality is often called instant torque. Take a look at our dyno charts. We start our pulls at 2000 RPM and the torque curve goes almost straight up and nearly straight across the RPM band. BY-PASS SYSTEM
The X-CHARGER features a built-in internal By-pass Valve that relieves boost pressure whenever there is vacuum in the discharge manifold. Vacuum exists under part throttle or closed throttle conditions, such as cruise, deceleration, idle and coast. The supercharger is being mechanically driven fast enough to produce boost, but the boost pressure is being diverted. When the throttle is opened vacuum drops to zero, the By-pass Valve closes and boost is introduced into the engine. The result: instant power and acceleration. BOOST ON DEMAND
The By-pass Valve operation is controlled by throttle opening. The driver controls the throttle. The X-CHARGED Mustang can be meek and mild enough to idle along in traffic, wicked enough to teach rice burners to respect Detroit iron.

Each individual part of the X-CHARGER kit is the best available and easily equal to original equipment quality. From the extensive use of CNC machined parts, expensive zinc plated flange head bolts, to the custom diecut gaskets, every single part is the best quality available.

QUIET OPERATION
The X-CHARGER is basically silent. It makes a slight growl at idle and is very quiet at part throttle. The unique Eaton banshee howl at wide open throttle has proven to be slightly addictive.



1/4 MILE ACCELERATION
At the drag strip a CA spec X-CHARGER equipped 4.0 will walk stock or mildly modified GTs. Our X-CHARGER owners have turned mid to high 13 second quarter miles, with stock 3.31 gear ratio and open differential, stock except for aftermarket lower control arms.

EASY ENGINE ACCESS
The X-CHARGER location on the top of the engine leaves a lot of room in the engine compartment and allows stock-like access to engine components like spark plugs and drivebelt. This not only makes routine service easier, it also avoids the something crammed into every square inch" look of some other s/c systems.

PROVEN RELIABILITY
The Mustang X-CHARGER is the same basic design as our Ranger and Sport Trac X-CHARGER. The Rangers and Tracs have logged hundreds of thousands of miles of reliable service. Plus, the Eaton/Magnuson supercharger has the longest life and best history of reliability of any supercharger. The Eaton head unit is used on many factory applications from the new GT500s, to Lightnings, Cobras and many more.

MODERATE WEIGHT INCREASE
The complete X-CHARGER weighs just 55 lbs. About 10 lbs of stock parts are removed to install the X-C. The low 45 lb net weight gain is spread along the longitudinal axis of the engine. Other designs locate all of their weight on the very front of the car which changes the car's weight distribution and polar moment of inertia.

EXCLUSIVE X-SPEC TUNING
Master tuner Doug Studdard founder of BamaChips Tuning has spent many hours dyno and road testing the X-CHARGER systems. The tune from Doug is very well developed and on the conservative side for extended engine life and awesome response and performance. Plus, several safeguards are built into the tuning to protect your engine.

HIGH OUTPUT OPTIONS
Explorer Express offers high output options for the Mustang X-CHARGER from smaller pulleys for higher boost levels to dialed in water injection systems. Plus special tuning calibrations to reach elevated power levels safely.

The X-CHARGER is entirely self contained. No drilling or tapping required. No risk of metal shavings entering the engine or oil leaks.

NO SPECIAL MAINTENANCE NECESSARY
The X-CHARGER does not require any special maintenance. The supercharger head unit gearcase oil should be changed at 100,000 miles.

LIMITED WARRANTY*
The Magnuson MP90 head unit comes with a 12,000 mile / 12 month limited warranty. The K&N air filter has a one year / unlimited mileage limited warranty. The Goodyear drivebelt has a lifetime warranty. Injectors, sensors and bearings have a one year / 12,000 mile limited warranty. The included castings, brackets and miscellaneous parts are covered by a lifetime limited warranty to the original purchaser.
