When Ford changed the suspension of their best selling SUV, they made it very difficult to improve upon. There is now an innovative way to improve stability on Explorers with the independent suspension. This rear stabilizer bar is a transverse leaf spring that easily mounts to your existing suspension in less than an hour. This device keeps tension on the vehicles coil springs so the vehicle leans less in the turns, especially with passengers or when towing. The result is improved stability and reduced body roll. The installation of this stabilizer bar does make the ride a bit firmer and increases the rear ride height by ..5"-.75".

NOTE: some custom aftermarket exhaust installations may not allow this Hellwig bar to be installed.
